The dinos are loose in new Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom teaser

We can watch handsome, muscular actors all the live long day, but the real reason to go see any JURASSIC movie is to watch giant dinosaurs chase those handsome, muscular actors and make them scream and cry. In the new teaser for JURASSIC WORLD: FALLEN KINGDOM the dinosaurs are on the loose and terrifying the humans (including Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard), with the big-toothed creatures getting all too close to eating their victims whole. Catch the footage above, which teases a full, new trailer on Wednesday.

It’s been four years since theme park and luxury resort Jurassic World was destroyed by dinosaurs out of containment. Isla Nublar now sits abandoned by humans while the surviving dinosaurs fend for themselves in the jungles.

When the island’s dormant volcano begins roaring to life, Owen (Chris Pratt) and Claire (Bryce Dallas Howard) mount a campaign to rescue the remaining dinosaurs from this extinction-level event. Owen is driven to find Blue, his lead raptor who’s still missing in the wild, and Claire has grown a respect for these creatures she now makes her mission. Arriving on the unstable island as lava begins raining down, their expedition uncovers a conspiracy that could return our entire planet to a perilous order not seen since prehistoric times.

I've gotta say, this small teaser is actually a bit better than that actual trailers in the past. Yeah, it's lacking in a lot of details and such, but the imagery (especially that beast in the water) is much cooler than the trailers in the past have shown. I don't know, maybe I'm just in the mood to see more dino kills. I hope we get to see more of this new stuff in the new trailer on Wednesday, as well as much more Jeff Goldblum. Much much much more Goldblum, please.

JURASSIC WORLD: FALLEN KINGDOM hits theaters June 22.
