The Entity attacks Collector’s Edition Blu-ray this June via Scream Factory

Sidney J. Furie's 1982 horror flick based on the 1974 Doris Bither case THE ENTITY starring Barbara Hershey will be released on Collector’s Edition Blu-ray this June via Scream Factory. Scream Factory says that extras are still in progress and will be officially announced at a later date, but they did confirm that this new release will include all the special features found on the prior DVD extras, as well as new interviews with Hershey, actor David Labiosa, editor Frank J. Urioste, and composer Charles Bernstein.

You can check out the newly designed cover art by Joel Robinson below. And just so you know, the reverse side of the Blu-ray will be the original theatrical poster art. Here's the official rundown on the film:

Oscar®-nominee Barbara Hershey stars as Carla Moran, a hard-working single mother whose life becomes a nightmare when she is attacked in her bedroom by someone – or something – that she cannot see. Disbelieved by her friends and dismissed by skeptical psychiatrists, Carla begins to lose her grip as she is repeatedly attacked in her car, in the bath, and even in front of her children. Could this be a case of hysteria, a manifestation of childhood sexual trauma, or something even more horrific? Seeking help from a group of daring parapsychologists, Carla will attempt an unthinkable experiment: to seduce, trap and ultimately capture the depraved spectral fury that is The Entity.

THE ENTITY was directed by Sidney J. Furie (SUPERMAN IV: THE QUEST FOR PEACE) from a screenplay written by AUDREY ROSE author Frank De Felitta based on his own 1978 novel of the same name. THE ENTITY will be released on Collector’s Edition Blu-ray via Scream Factory on June 11th. Will you be snagging a copy once this movie lands? Let us know below!
