It appears that Lionsgate have ordered two weeks of reshoots on the upcoming Jessica Alba movie THE EYE. The movie, a remake of the Pang brothers’ Asian horror flick, is about a woman who receives an eye transplant, which allows her to see into the supernatural world and was originally directed by David Moreau and Xavier Palud (ILS). Patrick Lussier (DRACULA 2000) has been brought into do the additional work. This is a pity, but it’s hardly a unique occurrence. We saw pretty much the exact same thing happen on THE INVASION earlier this year. I don’t know how you can go wrong when you’re shooting an Alba flick, just point the camera at her and people will be happy. A shower scene wouldn’t go amiss, but when you’ve got someone that looks like she does, unless you have her shrouded in darkness or wearing a ninja mask all the time, you should be fine. Damn these up-and-coming foreign directors who’re trying to be artistic and original, what’s their deal?! Point and shoot, guys!
