The Flash: Kiersey Clemons back as Iris West opposite Ezra Miller

Soon Zack Snyder's Justice League won't be the only film where DC fans can enjoy Kiersey Clemons's portrayal of Iris West. It's been reported that Clemons has inked a deal to star opposite Ezra Miller in Warner Bros.' DC movie The Flash.

In DC's Prime Earth continuity, Iris West is a Central City reporter and the girlfriend of Barry Allen, a.k.a. The Flash. Clemons was slated to play the character in Justice League, but West was removed from the film in 2017 before Joss Whedon got his little rat hands all over it. Thankfully, Zack Snyder added Iris West to his much-anticipated cut of the film, which arrives on HBO Max on March 18th.

Directed by Andy Muschietti (It, Mama), The Flash is being written by Christina Hodson (Birds of Prey: And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn, Bumblebee). Barbara Muschietti and Michael Disco are producing, with Marianne Jenkins serving as executive producer.

While plot details are thin at this point, The Flash will expand the DCEU multiverse with the introduction of Supergirl. Rumors also suggest multiple iterations of Batman may play a role. Speaking Caped Crusaders, it's been confirmed that The Flash will feature Michael Keaton, who is reprising his role as Bruce Wayne/Batman from Tim Burton's badass Batman films.

The Flash doesn't race into theaters until November  4, 2022, but you can catch Kiersey Clemons as Iris West when her character appears in Zack Snyder's Justice League on March 18.
