The future of Potter?

Never before have we seen a film franchise like HARRY POTTER. A several-billion-dollar-grossing, consistently solid collection of films, essentially shot back-to back-to-back-to back-to-back-to-back-to-back., without losing principal actors. It’s really quite astounding.

With the fifth installment HARRY POTTER AND THE ORDER OF THE PHOENIX about to cast its spell on this summer of sequels, and the final book just around the corner, Potter-mania has descended upon us, and we’ve got no choice but to succumb. MTV Films have spoken to some of today’s hottest directors and asked them how they would end the franchise, now that David Yates, who is directing the fifth one, has signed on for THE HALF-BLOOD PRINCE, leaving only the final installment director-free.

Some of these directors include David Fincher, Guillermo Del Toro, and Rob Zombie, who had this to say: “It’d probably be very violent with a lot of nudity. That’s what it needs. Harry should say ‘f—‘ a lot. That would spice it up.” I agree with Rob. Having Harry f*ck a lot would spice things up. Unfortunately, studios these days are unwilling to take chances.
