Hey guys and dolls! Arrow here talking to ya from the Petting Zoo (i.e. The
American Film Market) with some bit of typical Holly “we can’t make
original films anymore” wood news. Universal Pictures
was the victor in the bidding war for the English remake rights to the awesome
Korean aquatic monster movie THE
HOST.
The flick will be produced by GOLD CIRCLE FILMS and VERTIGO
ENTERTAINMENT. So yup, the remake is on its way. YAWN! In related HOST news,
Magnolia Pictures will release the original in English (Let me guess… dubbed
right?) in February of 2007. I say find a copy of the subtitled Korean original
and call it a freaking life.
