The King’s Man: Red Band trailer shows the violent birth of the Kingsman

20th Century Studios has unleashed a new red band trailer for its upcoming Kingsman prequel, The King’s Man. The trailer teases lots of bloody action, mysterious new characters, and some language that would make the Queen go red in the face. The footage makes the film look like another rollicking adventure with inventive fight sequences, elaborate stunt work, and heroes that look damn good in their bespoke suits.

The King’s Man is directed by Matthew Vaughn and stars Ralph Fiennes, Gemma Arterton, Rhys Ifans, Matthew Goode, Tom Hollander, Harris Dickinson, Daniel Brühl, with Djimon Hounsou, and Charles Dance. As a prequel to Vaughn’s Kingsman: The Secret Service and Kingsman: The Golden Circle, the newest film in the franchise finds a collection of history’s worst tyrants and criminal masterminds gathering to plot a war to wipe out millions. Now, one man must race against time to stop them. Discover the origins of the very first independent intelligence agency in The King’s Man.

Will Rhys Ifans’ villainous Grigori Rasputin emerge as the franchise’s best villain to date? What manner of weaponry can we expect after going back in time to the beginnings of the Kingsman? We still have a few months to go before The King’s Man is released in theaters on December 22, so be sure to sit tight.
