The Last House on the Left soundtrack is coming back to vinyl

And the road leads to…the Belgium-based One Way Static Records! The record label will release the original motion picture soundtrack from Wes Craven’s ultra violent movie THE LAST HOUSE ON THE LEFT! David Hess would be proud!

The score was composed and performed by the late David Hess, who played “Krug” in the movie. This will be the first release of One Way Static Records and this is what they said about the whole deal: “Our first release will be the iconic soundtrack to Wes Craven’s 1972 THE LAST HOUSE ON THE LEFT, composed and performed by DAVID ALEXANDER HESS. More info TBA”

The label teamed up with director Wes Craven (SCREAM), producer Sean Cunningham (FRIDAY THE 13TH) and the Hess family to make the release possible.

The vinyl version will have 17 tracks and a CD/download version that will have…drum roll please…21 tracks! Yes, 3 alternate tracks plus 1 cover of the infamous “Wait for the Rain” by David Hess’ sons Jesse and Bo. What’s not to love here?

If you’re a true fan of this horror classic let me tell you that a limited hand-numbered version of the vinyl will also contain the original 1972 radio spots for the movie.

There is no release date set yet.
