Last Updated on July 30, 2021

Deadline reports that actor Gabriel Luna (Terminator: Dark Fate) has been cast as Joel’s brother Tommy, opposite Pedro Pascal (The Mandalorian), who plays the aforementioned Joel, in HBO's upcoming prestige zombie horror-drama based on the hit video game, The Last of us. Tommy is described as "a former soldier who hasn’t lost his sense of idealism and hope for a better world."

Here's the official synopsis of the series:

The series takes place twenty years after modern civilization has been destroyed. Joel, a hardened survivor, is hired to smuggle Ellie, a 14-year-old girl, out of an oppressive quarantine zone. What starts as a small job soon becomes a brutal, heartbreaking journey, as they both must traverse across the U.S. and depend on each other for survival.

Meanwhile, HBO's The Last of US is being developed by Craig Mazin (Chernobyl), and co-stars Bella Ramsey (Game of Thrones) as Ellie.

So what do you guys think? Fans of the games? If so, looking forward to the show? Either way, sound off below!
