The Mandalorian and Grogu gets a new poster as tickets for the latest exciting chapter of the Star Wars Saga go on sale

If you thought Disney got everything related to its upcoming Star Wars film, The Mandalorian and Grogu, out of its system at CinemaCon, think again! Today, Disney and Lucasfilm are excited to unveil a new poster (posted below), an in-depth interview, and pre-sale tickets for the family-friendly adventure coming to theaters on May 22, 2026.

New Promo Materials Force Their Way Online

The new poster, naturally, features a close-up of the upcoming film’s lead characters, Pedro Pascal’s Din Djarin and Grogu. While the Mandalorian looks determined to give the Empire what for, Grogu looks as if he sees something tasty beyond the confines of the new promo art. I like the poster’s muted colors and would love to host the duo at a dinner party, if only to see Grogu scarf up a pile of my famous garlic mashed potatoes and a heroic portion of my delicious chicken potstickers.

You can pre-order tickets to The Mandalorian and Grogu now, which helps you beat the crowd in addition to scoring some exclusive merch.

Fandango also released a new Big Ticket Interview for The Mandalorian and Grogu, hosted by friend of the site Perri Nemiroff. During Perri’s interview with Jon Favreau, Pedro Pascal, and Sigourney Weaver, the trio engages in a can’t-miss conversation filled with teases, surprises, and just enough mystery to hint at the epic adventure ahead.

Is Disney Worried?

A report earlier this year mentioned that The Mandalorian and Grogu is “something of a question mark” for the studio. Additionally, given that the film is based on a streaming series, it “may not seem like a big-screen proposition for any but the most die-hard Baby Yoda lovers.”

This came on the heels of the film’s Super Bowl commercial, which felt like a real misfire. It leaned into a nostalgic, old-school Super Bowl commercial vibe, complete with narration by Sam Elliott, and featured a pack of Tauntauns pulling Din Djarin and Grogu. This was the chance to introduce the film to one of the biggest audiences in the world, and it really should have been the proper trailer, which they ultimately released a week later.

I’ve got my fingers crossed that The Mandalorian and Grogu will be a fun time at the movies, but we also have Star Wars: Starfighter to look forward to next year.

The logline reads: “The evil Empire has fallen, and Imperial warlords remain scattered throughout the galaxy. As the fledgling New Republic works to protect everything the Rebellion fought for, they have enlisted the help of legendary Mandalorian bounty hunter Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) and his young apprentice Grogu.” The film will be in theaters on May 22.
