The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel’s Holly Curran joins Fear the Walking Dead

Best known for playing Penny Pann in a handful of episodes of the Amazon series The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, actress Holly Curran has now signed on for a recurring role on AMC's Fear the Walking Dead. Unfortunately, the announcement of her casting doesn't include any information on the character she'll be playing. All we know is that Curran will have a recurring presence in the second half of Fear's fifth season when the show returns to the air this Sunday, August 11th.

In Fear the Walking Dead's fifth season,

the group’s mission is clear: locate survivors and help make what’s left of the world a slightly better place. With dogged determination, Morgan Jones (Lennie James) leads the group with a philosophy rooted in benevolence, community and hope. Each character believes that helping others will allow them to make up for the wrongs of their pasts. But trust won’t be easily earned. Their mission of helping others will be put to the ultimate test when our group finds themselves in unchartered territory, one which will force them to face not just their pasts but also their fears. It is only through facing those fears that the group will discover an entirely new way to live, one that will leave them forever changed.

Curran joins a cast that includes Lennie James, Alycia Debnam-Carey, Colman Domingo, Danay Garcia, Alexa Nisenson, Garret Dillahunt, Jenna Elfman, Maggie Grace, Mo Collins, Daryl Mitchell, Ruben Blades, Bailey Gavulic, Cooper Dodson, Ethan Suess, Karen David, Austin Amelio, and Matt Frewer. New characters played by Peter Jacobson, Colby Minifie, and newcomer Colby Hollman will also be showing up in the second half of this season.

Curran has previously appeared on the shows Z: The Beginning of Everything, Bull, Chicago Justice, and The Blacklist.

I can't say I've seen anything she has been in, but I look forward to finding out who Curran and the other new additions will be playing on Fear the Walking Dead.
