Has the Jack Ryan revolving door finally stopped spinning?
After numerous attempts to reboot the Tom Clancy franchise (with three different actors already portraying the character), Paramount may have finally found their team to head to MOSCOW.
According to Vulture, STAR TREK captain Chris Pine (who’s been attached since last October) will be directed in the new Ryan adventure by Jack Bender, a longtime TV director and cohort of TREK helmer JJ Abrams (“Lost,” “Alias,” “Felicity”). Bender also directed CHILD’S PLAY 3.
The new movie is an original story in which “a fresh-from-the-Marines Jack Ryan goes to work as an analyst for a Russian billionaire, but winds up on the run after being implicated in a terrorist plot.”
