The next Purge film may be titled The Forever Purge

The fifth film in the PURGE franchise is scheduled to reach theatres on July 10th, and while we wait to see whether or not the movie will be able to keep that date it looks like The Hollywood Reporter has revealed what its title is.

PURGE franchise producer Jason Blum participated in a THR piece that shows pictures of people in the entertainment industry hanging out at home during the COVID-19 pandemic, and the caption under his picture reads:

Blum is at home with his wife, writer Lauren Schuker Blum, and two children. There, he spends his days managing calls and prepping upcoming projects, including feature films The Forever Purge, Run Sweetheart Run and Halloween Kills and Showtime limited series The Good Lord Bird.

So it looks like the movie we've been referring to as THE PURGE 5 is actually called THE FOREVER PURGE.

THE FOREVER PURGE is directed by Everardo Gout from a screenplay by franchise creator James DeMonaco, who has written every film in the series and directed the first three. It doesn't have an official synopsis yet, but we have heard that it will

take Purge out of its usual metropolitan setting while still dealing with class and race issues in the way the previous films have.

Ana de la Reguera, Tenoch Huerta, Will Patton, Cassidy Freeman, and Leven Rambin star.

Blum produced the film with DeMonaco, Sébastien K. Lemercier, Michael Bay, Brad Fuller, and Andrew Form.

Filming was completed on THE FOREVER PURGE before the pandemic caused productions to shut down.
