The Offer: Miles Teller replacing Armie Hammer in Paramount+ limited series

It's been announced that Miles Teller will replace Armie Hammer as The Godfather producer Al Ruddy in Paramount+’s limited event series The Offer. Hammer exited the project back in January after being accused of sending direct messages over Instagram that described graphic sexual fantasies, including cannibalism.

Teller will now play the Oscar-winning producer in the series focusing on the making of Francis Ford Coppola's iconic film The Godfather. The 10-episode event series is written and executive produced by Nikki Toscano, who also showruns, and Oscar- and Emmy-nominated writer Michael Tolkin. In addition to his starring role, Teller will also executive produce alongside Ruddy.

The Offer was given the green light at Parmount+ with a straight-to-series commitment, with Dexter Fletcher (Rocketman, Bohemian Rhapsody) set to direct.

Teller's next major motion picture is Top Gun: Maverick starring Tom Cruise. Teller is set to play the son of Nick 'Goose' Bradshaw and Carole Bradshaw, Lt. Bradley 'Rooster' Bradshaw, in the upcoming film. The frequently-delayed sequel also stars Jennifer Connelly, Val Kilmer, Jon Hamm, Glen Powell, Monica Barbaro, Manny Jacinto, Jean Louisa Kelly, Danny Ramirez, Jay Ellis, Lewis Pullman, and more.
