The Russo Brothers are teasing something special for SDCC 2019

It's almost time for San Diego Comic-Con 2019 to dominate every form of media known to humankind with news, teases, and special events related to all the biggest geek-tastic properties that are poised to arrive in the coming months. You know what that means, don't you? It's time to finish that elaborate Cosplay you've been working on, empty your bank accounts, and prepare yourself for a full-surrender, because SDCC takes no prisoners, and no pop culture enthusiast worth their salt will be safe from this year's main event.

This afternoon, Marvel masterminds Joe and Anthony Russo posted a video to their social media account, teasing that something special is coming to their Hall H panel on July 19 at San Diego Comic-Con. The video features audio from their previous Hall H appearance when they shared footage from AVENGERS: ENDGAME, but that business is old hat by now. So, what could they be planning?

According to Collider, who exclusively revealed the details of the Russo-related panel:

“For the Russo Brothers, Avengers: Endgame was the culmination of an unprecedented four-film, seven-year journey through the Marvel Cinematic Universe that has included some of the most iconic experiences in modern cinema.  Come hear directors Joe and Anthony Russo reflect on Endgame and their epic road to it as they segue into life beyond Marvel with their new company, AGBO, which happens to include an exciting array of new and old creative friends.  This new independent studio develops and finances filmed projects in any medium, while keeping creative control within the hands of artists. This discussion will be moderated by Collider’s Editor-in-Chief Steven Weintraub.”

Hmm, new projects, you say? Endeavors that involve "new and old creative friends," huh? Could it be that Marvel's dream team will announce new projects featuring some of Marvel's best and brightest stars? Or, has the duo perhaps attached themselves to another powerhouse organization for which they will then work their money-making magic? My cash would be on AGBO dropping some manner of magnificent news that no one will have seen coming from miles away. Obviously, I don't know that for sure, but I feel as if the Russo Brothers are a big enough deal at this point in their respective careers that they could wrap their mitts around something that fans have been clamoring for.

But enough speculation from me. After all, whatever they have planned is well above my paygrade, and I'm the type of person to always assume that something big is brewing. Because honestly, who doesn't want new and exciting ventures to crop up when large-scale events are shaking what their Mama gave them?

We'll be there to discover what all the hullabaloo is about when the Russo Brothers take over Hall H on July, 19! In meantime, we shall prepare out bodies for the madness that is sure to come from the big show.
