You guys remember that upcoming genre flick DIBBUK BOX? We’ve mentioned the flick a couple times before, which is heading our way courtesy of producer Sam Raimi and is apparently based on true events. If you don’t recall DIBBUK BOX you need not sorry, that’s what I’m here for!
Back in January Jake dropped the news that DIBBUK BOX had scored the talents of one Kyra Sedgwick and unfortunately that was the last update we got on the flick… Until today that is! Doubly unfortunate, today’s news isn’t exactly of the ‘good’ variety.
You see it seems Lionsgate have decided to push back DIBBUK BOX. I’m not talking a couple weeks either.. Apparently DIBBUK BOX is dropping from it’s previous release date of October 28th all the way until January 6, 2012. That’s one helluva push-back. No reasons for the delay were given but you can bet if we hear something we’ll be sure to pass the good word along to all of you.
The film will follow Clyde Breneck and his 10-year-old daughter, Em, who purchases an antique box at a yard sale. With the box, Em accidentally releases an ancient spirit that has one goal: to devour her. Clyde must team work with his ex-wife to put an end to the curse.
Along with Sedgwick (below), DIBBUCK BOX also stars Jeffery Dean Morgan, Natasha Calis and Madison Davenport. Mark it on your calenders folks – January 6, 2012! And be sure to keep it here for anything DIBBUK BOX related that comes our way!
