The trailer for Blumhouse’s Halloween is now online

The moment we've all been waiting for has arrived! A month and a half after the attendees of CinemaCon got to see the trailer for Blumhouse's upcoming HALLOWEEN sequel, and now that we've endured a week of teases and images, the film's trailer is now finally online.

Directed by David Gordon Green, this new HALLOWEEN ignores the events of every other film in the franchise except for John Carpenter's 1978 original. That film's star Jamie Lee Curtis returns to the role of

Laurie Strode, who comes to her final confrontation with Michael Myers, the masked figure who has haunted her since she narrowly escaped his killing spree on Halloween night four decades ago.

Green wrote the screenplay with Danny McBride and Jeff Fradley. Curtis's co-stars include Judy Greer as Laurie's daughter Karen; Andi Matichak as Karen's daughter Allyson; Miles Robbins, Virginia Gardner, Dylan Arnold, and Drew Scheid as Allyson's Haddonfield High classmates; Will Patton and Rob Niter as police officers; Rhian Rees as a character named Dana; and Diva Tyler as a caretaker. Original Michael Myers performer Nick Castle and stuntman James Jude Courtney both wore the mask of the iconic slasher this time around.

John Carpenter served as executive producer on the film and will be providing the score.

HALLOWEEN is scheduled to reach theatres on October 19th. The trailer can be seen below, and the movie looks very promising. Michael Myers is back!
