The trailer for Gregg Bishop’s V/H/S spin-off Siren likes you

I wasn't very fond of the found footage horror anthology V/H/S, but one thing about it that I liked a lot was the performance of Hannah Fierman in the segment called "Amateur Night", which is about a group of guys who pick up a strange girl in a bar, and when they get her back to their hotel room she turns out to be even stranger than they thought. For me, Fierman's character was the best thing about the whole movie. I didn't like "Amateur Night" overall because the characters surrounding her were such douchebags, but she was a highlight. So I'm excited that her character is getting her own spin-off, a movie called SiREN (yes, you're supposed to write it with a lower case I).

My excitement is boosted further by the fact that SiREN has been directed by Gregg Bishop, who made the very cool zombie movie DANCE OF THE DEAD back in 2008. I've been waiting eight years to see another Bishop feature.

Fierman's co-stars in SiREN are Chase Williamson, Justin Welborn, Michael Aaron Milligan, Hayes Mercure, and Randy McDowell, and Bishop promises that the characters will be the opposite of those in "Amateur Night" – they'll be likeable.

SiREN centers on

an apprehensive groom-to-be whose bachelor party turns into a nightmare when he frees a seemingly innocent victimized girl locked up in a supernatural sex club. Funny story? She’s actually a dangerous fabled predator who has chosen him as her mate.

The film is scheduled to reach theatres on December 2nd, with a VOD, Digital HD, and DVD release to follow on December 6th.

A trailer for SiREN has been released online and can be seen below. Yes, it does feature Fierman's character's famous line, that whispered "I like you."
