The Walking Dead’s Elizabeth Ludlow joins Godzilla sequel

We don't know much about Elizabeth Ludlow's character Arat on AMC's The Walking Dead. She's one of the villainous Negan's lackeys, and while she has killed one person on the show and left a scar on the face of another, she has mainly made an impression through her fashion sense and unique hair style.

We'll have to wait and see if we'll learn any more about Arat in The Walking Dead's upcoming eighth season… while we try not to read too much into the fact that Ludlow has signed on to take a role in director Michael Dougherty's sequel to GODZILLA 2014 (which may or may not be called GODZILLA: KING OF THE MONSTERS; a recent press release cast some doubt on that title) while The Walking Dead season 8 is still in the midst of filming. Arat isn't a major character and GODZILLA is filming in Atlanta, just like TWD does, so maybe Ludlow was just able to fit both projects into her schedule.

Ludlow's GODZILLA co-stars include Millie Bobby Brown, Vera Farmiga, Kyle Chandler, Zhang Ziyi, Bradley Whitford, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Aisha Hinds, Charles Dance, Randy Havens, Thomas Middleditch, Jonathan Howard, Anthony Ramos, Ken Watanabe, and Sally Hawkins.

It wasn't revealed what sort of character Ludlow (or most of the other actors) will be playing in the film.

Details on the story Dougherty has crafted with his KRAMPUS co-writer Zach Shields are being kept under wraps, but we do know that Godzilla is going to be sharing the screen with his fellow giant monsters Mothra, Rodan, and King Ghidorah.

A monster mash like that seems like something they could have built up to over multiple sequels, but I can't complain about getting the chance to see all of these creatures knock each other around when GODZILLA 2 (not the official title, either) reaches screens on March 22, 2019.
