The Wolf of Wall Street’s Kenneth Choi joins Spider-Man: Homecoming

It could have gone either way, but thankfully audiences were quite impressed with Tom Holland's work as Peter Parker/Spider-Man in CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR. Third reboot's the charm. Production on SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING is expected to get underway later this summer as the cast continues to fill out. Kenneth Choi, the latest actor to join Spidey's team, will soon be of a very rare breed, an actor who has played two separate characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Gasp!

Deadline reports that Kenneth Choi has joined the cast of SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING as Peter Parker's high-school principal. If you're wondering where you've seen Choi before in the MCU, he previously played Jim Morita, one of the Howling Commandos, in CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE FIRST AVENGER. He's also had memorable roles in THE WOLF OF WALL STREET, Sons of Anarchy, and recently played Judge Lance Ito in The People vs. O.J. Simpson. We don't know all that much about SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING just yet, but our own Paul Shirey recently unveiled a couple of scoops regarding the the villain and costumes to be used in the film, so make sure to check that out.

SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING is set for a July 17, 2017 release.
