The Wolfman director Joe Johnston talks Jurassic Park 4

Director Joe Johnston has already started making the interview rounds for THE WOLFMAN, which hits theaters in about a month from now. After two years of waiting for the film to be released, I’m guessing he’s anxious to get out there and yap about it. But that’s not the only project he’s chattin’ about!

Along with dishing the dish about THE FIRST AVENGER: CAPTAIN AMERICA, he also laid down some information on where the JURASSIC PARK franchise is headed with the folks over at Box Office Magazine. Here’s just a taste of what he had to say:

Well, there is going to be a Jurassic Park IV. And it’s going to be unlike anything you’ve seen. It breaks away from the first three—it’s essentially the beginning of the second Jurassic Park trilogy. It’s going to be done in a completely different way. That’s pretty much all I can tell you.

This news makes me incredibly sad, if only because Johnston directed the turd burglar known as JURASSIC PARK 3. Why would he be involved in any more of the JURASSIC PARK movies? Talk about a bad idea in the history of bad ideas.

But what may be a good thing (as long as Johnston isn’t directing) is a second trilogy of attacking dinosaur movies. Given today’s technology, and the latest trend of everything being in 3D, they could take the franchise to whole new levels. Then again, if Johnston’s directing, all hope for something cool is thrown out the window.
