There will be no more Heroes after Reborn

If you were a fan of HEROES and have enjoyed this recent revival of REBORN on NBC, you might want to figure out how you can hold onto it for as long as possible, because once the finale airs, HEROES ain’t coming back.

NBC Entertainment chairman Bob Greenblatt spoke today at the Television Critics Association’s winter press tour and talked about the lack of future HEROES has at the network beyond this current season.

That was always the plan, unless Tim [Kring] woke up one day and said, ‘Oh, I have another chapter to tell.’ But I think we’re coming to the end of the world, maybe. Stay tuned.

Of course he’s hoping you’ll keep watching what’s left of HEROES REBORN as the season wraps up. Unfortunately I don’t get the feeling a lot of people are going to miss HEROES when it’s gone… again. Most fans started checking out after the first season of the show’s original run, and while there was some curiosity about how the show might look in its return, that curiosity quickly started to fade after the premiere with ratings declining along the way.

Oh well… Once they saved the cheerleader, thus saving the world, what the hell else were they supposed to do?

The series finale of HEROES REBORN airs on January 21.
