Colin Farrell, Charlize Theron, Ralph Fiennes and Willem Dafoe have signed on to the Iraq-set action drama titled THE HURT LOCKER, for director Kathryn Bigelow (K19: THE WIDOW MAKER).
The movie is about an elite bomb disposal team who are thrust into a cat-and-mouse game in a city where every person is potentially an enemy and every object, potentially a bomb. Hot damn!
Theron has spent her post-Oscar winner years pretty much in the vein of – but not quite as bad as – Cuba Gooding Jr., acting in the pretty poor AEON FLUX and apparently something called ROBOT CHICKEN which I haven’t seen but doesn’t sound particularly artistically challenging.
