These new stills let you get up close and personal with the dwarves of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey

Dwarves abound in this batch of new stills released from THE HOBBIT: AN UNEXPECTED JOURNEY, and my day is definitely better for it.  The stills give is a few fresh peeks at some jolly moments shared with Bilbo in his home of Bag End, as well as a glimpse at moments of a more intense nature found later on in the film.

The detail on the sets and costumes is of course impeccable, and while the stills may not be the most action packed they nonetheless certainly serve to bolster my excitement for the film.  Peter Jackson has proved time and time again that he captures character interaction with as much aplomb as he does epic combat, and if these stills are any indication THE HOBBIT: AN UNEXPECTED JOURNEY is going to be no different.

You can bet your brown britches I’ll be in line, ticket in hand, bright and early the morning of December 14th.
