This poster for Season of the Witch raises some hell

Are you still holding out for SEASON OF THE WITCH?

If you’re part of that bandwagon, a new poster from the film might please you. The poster also reveals that the movie will release this January! Hopefully they do since it is part of the tagline: “This January raise some hell.”

The poster reminds me of something I’d want to paint on the side of a van as part of a more awesome picture. Do you see the reflection on the sword of his wrongly accused witch love? Her impending date to burn at the stake is tearing them apart! He must tear through the village with his sword to rescue her!

Wow. I’m rambling. Check out the poster.

Since it’s been so long, here’s the synopsis:

“In the supernatural thriller SEASON OF THE WITCH, Nicolas Cage stars as a 14th century Crusader who returns with his comrade (Ron Perlman) to a homeland devastated by the Black Plague. A beleaguered church, deeming sorcery the culprit of the plague, commands the two knights to transport an accused witch (Claire Foy) to a remote abbey, where monks will perform a ritual in hopes of ending the pestilence. A priest (Stephen Campbell Moore), a grieving knight (Ulrich Thomsen), an itinerant swindler (Stephen Graham) and a headstrong youth who can only dream of becoming a knight (Robert Sheehan) join a mission troubled by mythically hostile wilderness and fierce contention over the fate of the girl. When the embattled party arrives at the abbey, a horrific discovery jeopardizes the knight’s pledge to ensure the girl fair treatment, and pits them against an inexplicably powerful and destructive force.”
