Bloody-Disgusting sent over a clip they got from Lion’s Gate for THREE… EXTREMES, which opens in limited release October 28th. A sort of Asian version of CREEPSHOW, THREE… EXTREMES has (you guessed it) three of Asia’s best directors Takashi Miike (AUDITION), Fruit Chan (FINALE IN BLOOD) and Park Chan-Wook (OLDBOY).
The clip in question is from Fruit Chan’s short entitled ‘Dumplings’:
No woman can resist the temptation of potential rejuvenation. For some it’s a dreamy blissful chase; for others a never-ending nightmare of endless pursuit. But Qing can afford it all. An ex-starlet and now wife of a prominent rich man, Qing is destined to have this dream come true.
Qing uses a lot of connections to get to a mysterious chef, Mei, who has famous specialty dumplings that supposedly rejuvenate the consumer. Qing is no connoisseur, but is simply dying to recover her youth and beauty. At stake is her new “career” as a housewife of the rich. Mei, a former gynecologist and abortionist, developed the secret recipe for rejuvenation, which has made her incredibly successful. Now Mei only serves desperate rich women like Qing. Mei understands a woman’s need and she can fulfill it — all you need is a leap of faith to take a bite into her special dumplings, which have an usual filling…
