Way the hell back in January, our Bostonian gangsta JP introduced to us a cool sounding Italian zombie flick called EATERS, even be so kind as to offer a one-sheet and trailer for the flick. While I can’t say a ton of advancement on the film has gone on in the last three months, we do have this for you: one gory still for each month elapsed. By my count, that’s a trio of fresh looks. Why the hell are you still reading!?!
From the directing duo of Marco Ristori and Luca Boni, EATERS picks up:
After being devastated by a deadly epidemic, the world is now governed by hordes of living dead. Locked in a fortress that has been turned into a research center and shelter, three men – zombie hunters Igor and Alen and a scientist named Gyno – are trying to find an answer to what has happened to the human race.
Sounds familiar, sure, but you can never account for the Italian flare Boni and Ristori are bound to spice the flick with. Zombies were all the rage a mere six months ago, and in a weird way, I already miss ’em. Hopefully EATERS will reinvigorate the genre and give us more to talk about than the paltry latest effort from an effete George Romero. Hopefully!
Guglielmo Favilla, Alex Lucchesi, Steve Sylvester, Rosella Elmi and Richard Burton all star in the film.
When we have a legit release date for the flick, so will y’all!
My favorite Italian scream queen, Edwige Fenech!
