Ticket to Paradise: George Clooney & Julia Roberts to lead Ol Parker rom-com

Someone cue up some Eddie Money because Ol Parker has got "Two Tickets to Paradise" for George Clooney and Julia Roberts.

That's right, folks. It's time to pack your bags because Clooney and Roberts are re-teaming for a romantic comedy that Ol Parker (Mama Mia! Here We Go Again) will direct called Ticket to Paradise. Hailing from Universal Pictures and Working Title, Parker will also write the script with Daniel Pipski, which has Clooney and Roberts playing a divorced couple that teams up and travels to Bali to stop their daughter from making the same mistake they think they made 25 years ago.

Sources close to the project say that as soon as streamers got a whiff of Parker's latest feature they all began circling like a pack of hungry wolves. Okay, so maybe they didn't behave like wolves, but you know what I mean, right? With theatrical debuts no longer a guarantee, streamers are willing to shell out big bucks for something as spicy as a Clooney and Roberts romance romp. Ticket to Paradise marks a reunion for two of Hollywood's most beautiful people, Clooney and Roberts, who in the past have teamed for the Ocean's Eleven films, and the Jodie Foster-directed Money Monster.

Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner of Working Title will produce alongside Sarah Harvey and Deborah Balderstone. Meanwhile, Clooney and his Smokehouse Pictures partner Grant Heslov will produce apace with Roberts and her Red Om Films teammates Lisa Gillan, and Marisa Yeres Gill.

How much would you like to bet that Clooney and Roberts' characters see the errors of their meddling in the final act of the film and opt to support their daughter in her decision to marry? Moreover, what do you think the chances are of them getting back together after the ordeal? We'll find out the answers to these questions and more when Ticket to Paradise makes its way to screens.
