From what I hear Nacho Vigalondo’s LOS CRONOCRIMENES (TIMECRIMES) is pretty amazing so when news breaks that the talented filmmaker is tackling a sci-fi flick next you can bet your ass I’m going to tell you about!
The news comes from Vigalondo’s blog over at El Pais and has the director next tackling the sci-fi flick EXTRATERRESTRE (ALIEN). With a little help from the guys over at Bloody Disgusting we’ve got a translation of the article:
Vigalondo writes that this will not be like a War of the Worlds with Tom Cruise, where a regular person manages to somehow closely witness all major invasion events. He writes that most people will experience a global alien invasion without even knowing it has happened, by listening to rumors, or engaging in pointless activities. Hence Extraterrestre.
Now I ‘ve yet to see LOS CRONOCRIMENES but I’ve heard nothing but good things. With that in mind I’ve got no problem saying today’s news has me somewhat excited. I mean… a balls out sci-fi alien flick from the director of LOS CRONOCRIMENES? Yeah… I’m pretty sure this one is going to be awesome.
Now not only do we have the announcement but Vigalondo also tossed up the above teaser image with his blog post. What is the picture of? Who the hell knows but it’s definitely intriguing! We’ll be keeping our eyes on this one so be sure to check back for updates soon!
