Timothy Olyphant joins the cast of The Mandalorian

Yes, a million times yes! THR has reported that Timothy Olyphant has joined the cast of The Mandalorian and will be appearing in the upcoming second season of the live-action STAR WARS TV series on Disney+. Unfortunately, it's not known exactly who Olyphant will be playing, or if it will be a new character or someone we've seen before.

I've been a big fan of Timothy Olyphant for quite some time, and he's shown that he's equally adept at juggling drama and comedy through appearances in TV shows such as Deadwood, Damages, Justified, Santa Clarita Diet, and Curb Your Enthusiasm, as well as movies such as DREAMCATCHER, LIVE FREE OR DIE HARD, RANGO, and ONCE UPON A TIME IN HOLLYWOOD. The second season of The Mandalorian is shaping up to become something even bigger than the first, as it's set to include Michael Biehn (THE TERMINATOR) as "a bounty hunter from The Mando's past," Katee Sackhoff (Battlestar Galactica) as Bo-Katan Kryze, a Mandalorian warrior, Temuera Morrison (STAR WARS: ATTACK OF THE CLONES) as Boba Fett, seemingly returned from the depths of the Sarlaac, and major rumours have also pointed to Rosario Dawson (Daredevil) playing Ahsoka Tano, the former Jedi Padawan of Anakin Skywalker who turned into a spymaster for the Rebel Alliance.

The second season of The Mandalorian is expected to debut on Disney+ in October 2020.
