Let’s start off with a fun fact: As I type this article, I’m watching THE ROOST – Ti West’s love-letter to crappy horror movies (and the cheesy t.v. shows that host them). I’ve never seen it before, but when I read Bloody Disgusting’s story about West’s new flick, I thought I’d give it a shot (it’s been laying-low on my DVR for about a month now). So far, it’s…. well, I’ll just get to the main point, okay?
Casting has begun on West’s new flick HOUSE OF THE DEVIL, which will begin shooting this March in Connecticut. Here’s Bloody’s synopsis: : In the late 1980s, college student SAMANTHA takes a strange babysitting job that coincides with a full lunar eclipse. She slowly realizes her clients harbor a terrifying secret; they plan to use her in a satanic ritual.
West recently directed CABIN FEVER 2: SPRING FEVER (that’s him on the set), as well as TRIGGER MAN. I certainly wish the guy the best: we both went to the same college!
