Titans reshoots, 3D?

According to CLASH OF THE TITANS star and blue alien hero extraordinaire Sam Worthington, TITANS isn’t done filming quite yet, despite all the pretty footage we got to see in the trailer. Talking to Hero Complex, Worthington says the film is reshooting some scenes in January, but don’t worry, it’s a good thing.

“We’re going to be going back and shooting more scenes for it, they cut loose with some money so we can add to it.”

“We’re going to be shooting more scenes in January, so we’re going to be right up against it — the movie comes out in March.”

When pressed on whether this is really all about making the film even more super awesome rather than fixing some earlier mistakes, Worthington admits it’s a bit of both.

“There were some creaky parts but they are the parts that we knew were creaky and that we knew were going to be creaky going into it. The studio is also letting us add some gods and scenes. And they’re talking about making the movie a 3D film.”

Hmm, what’s the process for upconverting the 3D these days? I know that something like AVATAR was shot explicitly for 3D, and was instead downconverted to 2D. Will TITANS look bad if they cram some 3D effects in there just to jack up your ticket price?
