Titans will start clashing again in March, 2012

I wasn’t so sure that CLASH OF THE TITANS needed a sequel but apparently I was in the minority. Warner Bros. hired BATTLE: LOS ANGELES director Jonathan Liebesman to direct CLASH 2 and has now set a March 30, 2012 release date for the film that’s working under the title WRATH OF THE TITANS (frankly I preferred CLASH OF THE TITANS TOO).

What the film will be about remains to be seen but I believe it will follow Gods and fighting and creatures and Liam Neeson glowing and Sam Worthington glowering and above all else crappy 3D.

As of now, TITANS 2 would only have the DreamWorks animated film THE CROODS as competition on that date but that date is over a year away and a lot can happen between then and now.

While this hasn’t been confirmed, I’m guessing filming on TITANS 2 would begin next spring with Worthington, Neeson, Gemma Arterton and Ralph Fiennes all reprising their roles from the original.

So the question remains: do you care about a CLASH OF THE TITANS 2? Were you burned on the 3D in the original and has that turned you off to the franchise?
