FIFA said this afternoon that Tom Cruise, Laura Pausini, Nicole Scherzinger, Robbie Williams, and the internet sensation IShowSpeed will perform at this year’s World Cup closing ceremony. The finale for one of the most talked-about sporting events of the year will take place on Sunday, July 19, at the New York-New Jersey Stadium (commonly known as MetLife Stadium). While FIFA did not offer any details about the upcoming performances, word has it that Cruise will make a “special appearance” at the event. Additionally, Jennifer Hudson will perform the National Anthem at the event.

The daredevil actor is fond of making a big entrance at events, and he currently holds the Guinness World Record for performing the most parachute jumps while on fire by a single person. Cruise performed the stunt 16 times, securing his place in Guinness World Records in 2025.
