Under his own newly-created production company Executive Options, Hardy has brought a project to Warner Bros based on an original concept by producer John Linson (“Sons of Anarchy”) and written by Mark L. Smith (VACANCY) that tells the story of “a wounded Vietnam veteran who returns home to San Francisco at the height of unrest of 1969. Amid clashing cultures of the Haight-Ashbury district, he emerges to become the leader of California’s most violent outlaw biker club.”
So that sounds awesome. No doubt it will take a while to get cameras rolling on this as Hardy has to shoot MAD MAX: FURY ROAD (and maybe FURIOSA too if they’re still doubling up production) and then do promotional duties for THE DARK KNIGHT RISES. You’ll definitely know if we hear more about this one though, because it sounds like a perfect storm of talent and concept and badassery.
