Tom Hardy’s Venom gets the Hot Toys treatment in new sixth-scale collectible

While I didn't exactly have high hopes for VENOM, I wound up being pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it, and 100% of that enjoyment came directly from Tom Hardy's delightfully off-kilter performance as Eddie Brock/Venom. Those of you hoping to bring a little Symbiote home with you might want to consider the fabulous new Venom sixth-scale collectible from Hot Toys and Sideshow.

Based on the appearance of Venom from the Ruben Fleischer movie, this "screen-accurate vinyl figure measures approximately 38cm tall displays a high level of detailed sculpting, especially on the texture of his skin, fearsome fanged mouth, and tongue. The latest figure introduces a body painted with black polarized paint that gives a natural shiny glow from different viewing angles; two newly developed head sculpts featuring a grinning head sculpt, as well as a head sculpt with fanged mouth and interchangeable protruding tongues; interchangeable weapons and accessories including symbiote weapons and Riot’s symbiote sword; multiple Venom with symbiote accessories attachable to figure’s back spewing black liquid; matching hands for iconic gestures; and a movie-themed figure stand." Check out the figure below!

Those who order the Special Edition of the collectible will recieve one additional Venom maw with symbiote accessory; What fun! Although I did enjoy VENOM more than I had anticipated, there was certainly room for improvement, and I've got my fingers crossed that the sequel will deliver. VENOM: LET THERE BE CARNAGE finds Andy Serkis stepping into the director's chair with both Tom Hardy and Michelle Williams reprising their roles of Eddie Brocke and Anne Weying, respectively. Additionally, Woody Harrelson will also be starring as Cletus Kasady, the man who will become Carnage. VENOM: LET THERE BE CARNAGE was originally slated to hit theaters this October, but COVID-19 naturally had other plans and Sony Pictures pushed the film back to June 25, 2021.

As for Hot Toys' Venom sixth-scale collectible, the figure will run you $405 and is expected to launch somewhere between January-March 2022.
