Tommy Wirkola already has some ideas for Dead Snow 3

With the release of Tommy Wirkola’s excellent DEAD SNOW sequel, DEAD SNOW 2: RED VS. DEAD, hitting VOD this past Friday, Wirkola is already playing with some appropriately insane ideas for a DEAD SNOW 3 should there ever be one. DEAD SNOW 2: RED VS. DEAD is available to WATCH HERE and it is without a doubt one of my favorite movies of the year. It's bigger and bloodier than its 2009 counterpart as Wirkola opted to take the sole survivor of the first film and equip him with a super-powered arm of the dead, and with it comes the uncontrollable urge to murder shit. How can you not love that? I won't spoil it here, but holy sheep-shit the end of DEAD SNOW 2 is utterly mad. You're brain will never be the same, I promise.

In a recent interview with Shock Till You Drop, the director spilled some gory details on what he'd like to see out of DEAD SNOW 3:

We have some ideas. We want to make a trilogy some time, if this does well. As you know, he [protagonist Martin] has a woman now, so we can deal with that. Maybe he has half-zombie kids. We haven’t seen half-zombies. We talked about opening the next film showing a zombie birth and it being the worst birth ever. These are just ideas for now, but I feel one more [film] could happen if this one does well.

So there you have it—half-zombies! Wirkola also recently made the news when he announced that he won't be returning to direct the sequel to HANSEL & GRETEL: WITCH HUNTERS. He has turned in a script, however, that might be taking the film in the direction of Voodoo. Get those details here! Now, go watch DEAD SNOW 2!
