Tony Todd would be honored to return to Candyman & Final Destination

Tony Todd is no slouch if you were unaware. The actor has been in countless films and even had a big hand in two of our beloved genres biggest franchise – CANDYMAN and FINAL DESTINATION. But would the man be up for returning to these franchises if the opportunity arose?

Of course, he would. Specifically, Todd says:

Candyman and Final Destination were both successful franchises that I was a part of. I would be honored if I was asked to return again. It would be dependent on the script. I have no interest in doing something just to do it. If the script is new and challenging and provides new light on characters I have already established, I'd want to be part of that.

Tony Todd on Jordan Peele's CANDYMAN:

In Jordan Peele's case, I really like what I've seen of his work so far. I have full confidence in that remake being in competent hands and he and I have talked. I can't say anything further than that, but I think the fans are going to be happy.

The actor then spoke about the possibility of another entry in the FINAL DESTINATION series a bit, saying:

As far as Final Destination and its creator, Jeffrey Reddick, are concerned, whenever Jeffrey calls, because of our friendship, I have to listen. It’s been eight years since the last Final Destination. We thought we would have had one before now and there was a tremendous amount of lobbying about three years ago but we just let it go. However, as things do in Hollywood, people often go back to the tried and the true. It's something of a double-edged sword. Yes, I would like to be involved in something that would hopefully be a blockbuster, but I'm interested in seeing new filmmakers telling new stories and to able to help them do that.

I think it goes without saying that all of us here today would LOVE to see Todd return for more CANDYMAN. But how would you feel about another FINAL DESTINATION flick with Todd? Let us know below!
