Trailer and poster promise Elijah Wood’s Come to Daddy is shocking, insane

It's been nearly eight months since we took a look at a strange, awkward clip from the darkly comedic thriller COME TO DADDY. It's been a wait for any further details on this one, but now we have a full trailer (embedded above) and a poster (below) to share – along with the news that COME TO DADDY will be getting a Digital, VOD, and limited theatrical release on February 7th.

The feature directorial debut of established genre producer Ant Timpson, COME TO DADDY stars Elijah Wood as

Norval Greenwood, a privileged man-child arrives at the beautiful and remote coastal cabin of his estranged father. He quickly discovers that not only is dad a jerk, but he also has a shady past that is rushing to catch up with both of them. Now, hundreds of miles from his cushy comfort zone, Norval must battle with demons, both real and perceived, in order to reconnect with a father he barely knows.

Toby Harvard wrote the screenplay, based on an idea by Timpson. Wood is joined in the cast by Stephen McHattie, Martin Donovan, Michael Smiley, Madeleine Sami, and Simon Chin.

COME TO DADDY was produced by Harvard, Mette-Marie Kongsved, Laura Tunstall, Daniel Bekerman, Katie Holly, and Emma Slade, with Timpson serving as executive producer alongside Tim Headington, Lia Buman, and Hussain Amarshi. Alex Ordanis and Jacqueline Nguyen are co-producers.

This movie looks like it's going to be deeply weird and twisted, and the review quotes the trailer is packed with promise that it makes for a hell of a viewing experience.
