Trailer debut for After Dark’s The Graves has hotties, blood and Tony Todd

With the 2010 After Dark Horrorfest two weeks and change from release, in that span we expect nothing less than a deluge of new press and promo materials for the 8 Films to Die For. And getting the jump is Brian Pulido’s rural horror outing THE GRAVES, which the tormented souls at Dread Central have just locked an exclusive trailer for (scope it underneath!)

Written by Pulido himself, THE GRAVES finds two inseparable sisters’ visit to a remote mine town turn into a mind-bending fight for survival against menaces both human and supernatural. Taking it further:

Megan (Clare Grant) and Abby (Jillian Murray) happen on Skull City Mine, a weather-beaten, abandoned mine town converted into a self-guided tour. But Skull City harbors terrible, vexing secrets. It appears to be haunted. Its caretakers are murderous. Victims’ souls are ripped from their bodies right before their eyes, and that’s only the beginning. When Megan suffers a near mortal wound, Abby must save her sister, but to do so, she must unlock the mystery of Skull City alone. Can Abby defeat the threats of Skull City and rescue Megan or are they doomed like all the other tourists before them?

Aside from the undeniable heat of our two leads, what I dig about the trailer is how the metal track kicks in once a murderous redneck straps on a pig-nose. That shite is hard! Oh, and there’s always Tony Todd in a priest getup!

Also starring Bill Moseley, Amanda Wyss (the ceiling victim in the original ELM STREET), Patti Tindall, Randy Blythe, Cathy Rankin, Dean Matthew Ronalds, Brian Ronalds, Shane Stevens, Bill Lippincott and Barbara Glover – THE GRAVES opens January 29th!
