Trailer for Arrow’s fourth season teases Constantine, Damien Darkh, and more

We're a little over a month away from the premiere of Arrow's fourth season and The CW has finally released our first look the new season, which is jam packed with new characters, new costumes, and plenty of ass-kicking heroes. Matt Ryan, who will be reprising his role of Constantine, pops up briefly, but much of the trailer is devoted to the season's new "big-bad", Damien Darhk (Neal McDonough).

Check it out!

Despite the third season coming to a close with Oliver (Stephen Amell) leaving Starling City (now renamed Star City) behind for a life of domestic bliss, this new trailer finds him back in action once a new threat emerges. Neal McDonough looks to be giving another great villain performance (his appearance in Justified's third season as Robert Quarles remains a favourite of mine) and I'm very much looking forward to seeing his Damien Darhk facing off against Green Arrow.

A synopsis for Arrow's fourth season:

After defeating his most formidable foe to date and riding off into the sunset with longtime flame Felicity Smoak, Oliver Queen (a.k.a. The Arrow) left Starling City with the hopes of beginning a new life. But will Oliver ever truly be able to leave behind his past as the Arrow, and, if so, what becomes of the team he has worked so hard to assemble? Will Diggle, Thea, and Laurel be left to continue Oliver's crusade without him? And with Malcolm Merlyn having ascended to the top of the League of Assassins as the new Ra's al Ghul, is anyone really safe?

Arrow returns to The CW on October 7, 2015. Will you be watching?
