Trailer for Jay-Z’s concert doc NY-Z, plus how to watch the film for free

On September 11, 2009, Hip-Hop mogul Jay-Z took over Madison Square Garden in New York City – selling about 20,000 tickets in a matter of minutes – for his “Answer the Call” concert, a commemoration of the 9/11 attacks and a tribute to the city itself where all proceeds went to the New York Police and Fire Widows’ and Children’s Benefit Fund.

The concert itself was also shot and documented by photographer and filmmaker Danny Clinch (a former intern of photographer Annie Leibovitz and director of Pearl Jam’s concert doc of their 2006 Italian tour entitled IMMAGINE IN CORNICE). Funded by ABSOLUT Vodka, the concert doc NY-Z chronicles the event, Jay-Z’s on-stage performance, and the city of New York, shot in elegant black and white photography reminiscent of the rapper’s past music videos like “99 Problems” and the more recent “Empire State of Mind”.
