If John Wick ever required an extended hospital stay, he'd probably spend his time convalescing in a place quite like the one featured in writer/director Drew Pearce's upcoming film HOTEL ARTEMIS. A trailer for HOTEL ARTEMIS can be seen below, and the titular establishment glimpsed in this preview is very reminiscent of the Continental hotels seen in the JOHN WICK films.
The synopsis for HOTEL ARTEMIS:
Set in riot-torn, near-future Los Angeles, HOTEL ARTEMIS is an original, high-octane action-thriller starring Jodie Foster as The Nurse, who runs a secret, members-only hospital for criminals.
Foster's co-stars include Sterling K. Brown, Sofia Boutella, Jeff Goldblum, Brian Tyree Henry, Jenny Slate, Zachary Quinto, Charlie Day, and Dave Bautista.
Although the biggest appeals of HOTEL ARTEMIS seem to be the cast and the fact that the film basically offers the chance to watch a JOHN WICK movie without John Wick in it, it does look like it could be some quirky fun.
We'll find out when the film is released on June 8th.
