In just two weeks, on March 16th, Gravitas Ventures will be giving a theatrical and VOD release to director Haylar Garcia's horror film APARTMENT 212. In anticipation of this release, a trailer has arrived online. It can be seen below, and it's a great one.
Starring Penelope Mitchell, Sally Kirkland, Chris Johnson, and Kyle Gass, the film has the following synopsis:
Jennifer Conrad is a small-town girl starting over in the big city. Fleeing an abusive relationship, all she wants is a chance to begin again. But it is hard to start over when something is eating you while you sleep… one painful bite at a time.
Garcia wrote the screenplay with Jim Brennan and Kathryn Gould.
The trailer is near perfect in my book, starting out with an intriguing build-up that makes you wonder just what is munching on Jennifer and making her ill, then shifting into another gear and going out with some fun action and comedy. The only thing that holds it back from being perfect is the very last image, a spoiler shot that gives away the look of the thing that finds Jennifer so tasty.
Even with that shot, this trailer has convinced me that I need to watch APARTMENT 212 later this month.
