Alright, so you know about AUTOMATION TRANSFUSION. You know that it’s being called the best zombie film in decades. And now you know that studios know it.
The dudes over at HorrorMovies.ca check in with news that director Steven C. Miller has been in talks with ‘some big power players’ for the distribution deal. The ‘power players’ in question: The Weinsteins/Dimension Films, LionsGate and Fox. Now those are some power players. Now, if I were an indie filmmaker with a hot film in my hands, and big name studios were fighting over the distribution deal for said film, who would I go for? Honestly, if I were cocky, I’d side with LionsGate. For one, they have a knack for these types of films (read: SAW and HAUTE TENSION), plus they won’t screw around too much with the film, or let it sit on the shelf for eons (you know who I’m talking about).
For those wanting to know what all the fuss is about with the film, you can check out the screening on October 18th at ScreamFestLA. The film’s premise is based in a small town, near by a major city which becomes overrun by zombies. Three local teens find themselves caught in the middle of a major war, between the humans and the dead.
