Trick or Treat Studios unveils Universal Monsters masks and ornaments

The 2017 version of THE MUMMY didn't work out in the way Universal intended, but the studio is taking another shot at rebooting their classic monster properties with next month's release of the Blumhouse-produced THE INVISIBLE MAN, written and directed by Leigh Whannell. Even if THE INVISIBLE MAN doesn't open the door to a whole new series of monster flicks, fans of the Universal Monsters are still going to have a good 2020. Trick or Treat Studios is seeing to that.

Trick or Treat recently put their 2020 catalog online, and within the pages of that catalog they unveiled a line of awesome Universal Monsters masks. There's Boris Karloff's iconic look from FRANKENSTEIN 1931, there's Frankenstein's Monster as he looked in HOUSE OF FRANKENSTEIN (where he was played by Glenn Strange), the CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON, Ardeth Bay and Imhotep from THE MUMMY 1932, and THE WOLF MAN.

If you'd rather apply makeup than wear a mask, there are Frankenstein and Bride makeup kits, as well as a Dracula makeup palette. Plus there's a Dracula cape and medallion to go along with the makeup or the Bela Lugosi Dracula mask Trick or Treat already had available.

That's Halloween covered, but Trick or Treat isn't stopping there. They'll also be helping you monster up the Christmas season with Frankenstein, the Creature, the Wolf Man, the Phantom, and the Invisible Man tree ornaments.

It's nice to see the classic monsters getting so much love. These creatures have always looked so cool, and these masks and ornaments capture them perfectly.

Trick or Treat isn't accepting pre-orders for these items just yet, but I'm sure Universal Monsters super fans are going to be snatching them up as soon as they're available.

The new take on THE INVISIBLE MAN is scheduled to reach theatres on February 28th.
