David Arquette has landed a pretty solid ensemble for his directorial debut, THE TRIPPER. Pic is about a group of friends who escape to a modern-day Woodstock concert for a weekend of debauchery, only to be stalked by a fanatical killer determined to finish what he started years earlier.
I presume it will be SCREAM-ishly self-aware since it’s tough to imagine anyone trying to play that concept staight anymore.
The cast will include Jamie King, Thomas Jane, Jason Mewes, Lukas Haas, Paul Reubens and Balthazar Getty. Not a bad group of people to party in the woods with, though I’m a little worried for Jamie being as she’s the only girl and all. In fact, let’s all gaze, um, protectively at her below.
