For those of you equal parts befuddled and intrigued by the idea of a TROLL remake (certainly I don’t think there are many who are outraged by it), here’s a piece of news that further stokes the “Wha?!” fire. Noah Hathaway, the original star of TROLL (he played “Harry Potter”) will be returning to the “franchise” in an undisclosed role.
Says director John Buechler (yes, he directed the original… wha?!)
“Noah’s matured into a fine young actor with an interesting intensity, and we are proud to have him on board.”
The kid was intense enough as is – I mean, remember how Atreyu screamed, pleaded, and cried while his faithful horsey Artax drowned slowly in THE NEVER ENDING STORY? Hey, now that I think about it, that movie was f*cked up!
Now that I’ve dabbed the tears from my eyes, I’ll be on the lookout for more news regarding the – ahem – BIG-budget remake of the 1986 freakout.
I just want to know if THIS nightmare of a scene will be included in the re-do.
