True Story: First images show Kevin Hart & Wesley Snipes in an intense drama

Kevin Hart and Wesley Snipes are brothers who are at odds with one another in the first look images for Netflix’s True Story. Written, executive produced, and showrun by Narcos: Mexico EP Eric Newman, True Story finds Kevin Hart playing a fictional version of himself. In the limited series, Hart plays Kid, while Snipes portrays Kid’s older brother Carlton. A tour stop in Kid’s hometown of Philadelphia becomes a matter of life and death for one of the world’s most famous comedians when the consequences of a lost evening with his wayward older brother threatens to destroy everything he’s built.

In the newly-released images, we find Kid and Carlton displaying a series of emotions. In two photos, the duo appears to be arguing. In another, we see them comforting one another through hard times. Anyone who has siblings knows that familial bonds can be tough to navigate, so it’s understandable that Kid and Carlton might not always see-eye to-eye.

In addition to Hart and Snipes, True Story also stars Tawny Newsome, Will Catlett, Paul Adelstein, Theo Rossi, Ash Santos, John Ales, Chris Ciamantopoulos, Lauren London, and Billy Zane.

True Story marks Kevin Hart’s dramatic series debut. He also serves as an executive producer on the limited series.

The seven-episode series will premiere globally on Netflix on November 24, 2021.
