Fangoria was lucky enough to score a slew of new images from director Mark Steven Grove’s THE SHADOW WALKERS, a new horror movie that looks about as much fun as it sounds (Pray They Only Kill You).
This here’s a flick I haven’t heard of, so it was somewhat exciting to check out the synopsis and the new pics. Check it:
A group of scientists and military personnel awaken in a subterranean laboratory with no memory of who they are. They quickly discover they are sealed in, with only one way to get out alive: They must travel deeper into the underground facility to an escape tunnel that leads to the surface. Hindered by the fact there is only limited electrical power, they struggle through the darkness, where they uncover a hive of genetically mutated creatures that stalk them from the shadows. Bred for combat, these monsters are endowed with razor-sharp talons and rows of jagged teeth capable of ripping a man apart. While avoiding danger at every turn, they begin to regain their memories, discovering the origin of the deadly creatures and the part they played in their creation.
Dude, that’s f*cked up… in a really,
really good way! How frickin’ cool does that sound? I’m already sold just on that! Plus, the poster you see here… that’s just creepy, yo. Apparently they shot the majority of the film in an abandoned rubbler plant (!), here’s what Grove had to say about that experience: [it] was a godsend in creating a very creepy environment to shoot a horror film. Yeah, sounds like it!
WALKERS stars Jason Coviello, Jennifer Summers,Cortni Mullen and Rebecca Gibel, and is being distributed by Shoreline Entertainment. Hold on though- looks like it just might make it on the SciFi Channel, and you know what that means. Either it’s gonna break the status quo and be really good, or it’ll keep with SciFi’s reputation and be less than par. We’ll just have to wait and see.
